Laura’s ambition is to transform healthcare for all Australians, especially those in rural and remote communities, by eliminating the need for burdensome travel and providing person-centred care that works for real life.
A distinguished graduate of the University of Queensland, Laura holds advanced qualifications in Chronic Disease Self-Management, Diabetes Education and Management, and became a Nurse Practitioner specialising in Diabetes, Metabolic Disorders, and Chronic Disease after completing her Masters at Flinders University.
Laura has worked alongside Australia’s leading medical professionals and now serves as a Principal Investigator for the Australian Centre for Accelerating Diabetes Innovations (ACADI). She also represents Australia in the International Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) Jenious Group.
Her career is rooted in clinical innovation, cultural safety, and bold policy thinking. Whether it’s advising governments, leading research, or delivering care, Laura’s passion remains the same: to make healthcare smarter, more human, and truly accessible.

As Head of the Pump Program, Geoff designs and oversees one of Australia’s most comprehensive insulin pump pathways, ensuring that patient onboarding, tech training, and support are seamless, empowering, and stress-free.
As Head of Finance, he ensures that resources are aligned to the mission: supporting better access, better programs, and more care for more people. Geoff is also a trusted collaborator with device companies, payers, and clinicians alike.

Josh brings holistic, tech-savvy diabetes care to communities near and far, making sure no one is left behind.
Josh leads Macintyre Health’s Diabetes Technology team from our Robina clinic and via telehealth. With extensive knowledge as a Certified Insulin Pump Trainer across all available Australian brands, including advanced hybrid closed loop systems, Josh is able to support patients on all systems and help identify what insulin pump system may be best for you.
With a background of Dietetics he is able to holistically support people of all ages whatever stage of their diabetes journey they are at.

Cassandra blends research with real talk, making nutrition and diabetes care feel practical, personalised, and empowering.
Cassandra is a highly respected dietitian with advanced credentials in nutrition, exercise science, diabetes education, and a Master of Medical Research focused on diabetes and cardiovascular health.
She is a fierce advocate for accessible telehealth services and works with patients across Australia. With personalised, evidence-based care, Cassandra supports individuals with complex diabetes, bariatric needs, heart disease, malnutrition, and more.
In addition to her clinical work, Cassandra has contributed to the design and development of the postgraduate Diabetes Education course at the University of Western Australia (UWA), shaping the next generation of diabetes educators across the country.

Dr. Wyld is a dual-trained specialist in endocrinology and obstetric medicine, with a special interest in diabetes technology, sports Endocrinology, women’s health and endocrine care in pregnancy. She leads our clinical medical strategy and works directly with Endocrine issues across all life stages, from PCOS to perimenopause to postnatal care.
She brings a gentle, collaborative style to her consultations, empowering her patients with clear information, a voice in their care, and long-term strategies for managing diabetes and other Endocrine conditions.
Her clinical experience spans both hospital and outpatient care, and she ensures that she remains up-to-date with diabetes technology and the current evidence and practices in Endocrine care. Kate Dunn is a senior nursing leader with over 30 years’ experience in diabetes and chronic disease care, spanning hospital, community, and remote health settings. As Head of Rural and Remote, she drives efforts to make high-quality, personalised care accessible to patients. No matter where they live, Kate bridges the gap between urban services and rural realities.
Kate’s approach is grounded in empathy, clinical excellence, and a deep respect for each patient’s journey. From newly diagnosed individuals to those managing complex, long-term conditions, she empowers people to take charge of their health with clarity, confidence, and support.
Kate has contributed to the University of Western Australia’s diabetes educator course, assisting in the development of key teaching materials and video content used in the program.

Kate is an award-winning nursing leader based in Toowoomba with extensive experience in advanced diabetes care, education and advocacy, especially for those living in rural areas.
Kate Mundy is a Toowoomba-based nursing leader with extensive experience in advanced diabetes care, education, and advocacy. A Certified Nurse Practitioner and Credentialled Diabetes Educator, she has been supporting people living with diabetes since 2012 and was recognised as Queensland’s Credentialled Diabetes Educator of the Year in 2016.
Kate recently completed her Certified Nurse Practitioner credentials, expanding her scope to deliver comprehensive, technology-enabled diabetes management and nursing care for our clients. She brings expertise in complex insulin therapy, advanced assessment, and person-centred care, ensuring individuals receive support that is practical, respectful, and aligned with their daily lives.
Driven by a commitment to equity, Kate advocates for models of care that honour patient choice and improve access to diabetes technology, particularly for those in rural and regional communities. She also contributes to workforce development as a tutor in the Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education and Management at James Cook University. Kate is widely regarded for her calm, collaborative style and her ability to make complex clinical information clear and accessible.

To see a Nurse Practitioner, patients can self-refer to Macintyre Health or be referred by any member of their healthcare team.
For our specialist services, referrals can be made by either a GP or Nurse Practitioner.
Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) and Dietitian services can be accessed via a GP referral under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan. Alternatively, if paying privately, some clients may be eligible to claim a rebate through their private health fund after the appointment.
Yes, you may be eligible to use Medicare for certain services at Macintyre Health. If you have a valid GP Management Plan (also known as a Team Care Arrangement), you may receive a Medicare rebate for up to five allied health visits per calendar year. Please speak with your GP about your eligibility. Note that full payment is required at the time of consultation, and you can claim your Medicare rebate back via online claim submission or in person.
Telehealth is a secure and convenient way to access our healthcare services without needing to visit a clinic in person. At Macintyre Health, telehealth appointments are conducted via video or phone, making it easier for people in rural and remote areas, or those who prefer to stay home, to consult with our team of diabetes educators, dietitians, nurse practitioners, and other professionals. All you need is a stable internet connection and a device such as a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
