This appointment is for those who’ve already had their initial consultation and are starting pump therapy. Allow 3 hours for this appointment. This service includes 2 weeks on-call as you learn to adjust to your pump. This is available in person only.

This appointment is for those who have already had their initial consultation and are upgrading their insulin pump. This service includes 2 weeks on-call as you adjust to your pump.

This appointment is for those who have already had their initial consultation and are undertaking Continuous Glucose Monitoring. This service includes a report review of your new CGM at 1 week.

Medicare Rebates:
A Medicare rebate of $54.60 may be available if a care plan visit is assigned to the Macintyre Health clinician by the patient’s GP. A copy of this must be presented to our receptionist prior to your appointment. Fees will be paid upfront and the rebate will be claimed on their behalf. Medicare would then deposit this rebate directly into the patient’s account.
Private Health Insurance:
Since each private health fund varies, each patient will need to check to see if their current plan covers diabetes education. The cost of the appointment will be paid upfront and the patient would then submit the receipt to their health fund for reimbursement
Insulin Pump Start Deposit
Before paperwork is commenced to order an insulin pump, 50% of the appointment fee must be paid upfront. The rest of the appointment cost can be paid on the day. Failure to attend the appointment with less than 24hr business notice may incur a loss of deposit and/or a $50 fee.
